The USA-Canada rivalry on the ice is a longstanding one, but the rivalry appears to have gone political. The bordering countries will take the ice Saturday night in Montreal for the 4 Nations Face-Off, the first time the two countries have played against each other in a best-on-best format since the World Cup of Hockey in 2016. When Team USA faced Finland Thursday night in Canada, the crowd was anti-U.S., booing the American players and, later, the national anthem despite the public address announcer pleading with fans to respect both anthems.
A flying beer can struck Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman in the head during the team's victory parade on Friday, drawing blood — and laughs from the executive and other revelers. Roseman, architect of the club that's appeared in three Super Bowls and won two in eight years, was no worse for wear when he addressed fans in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The United States and Canada rekindled their hockey rivalry Saturday in Montreal, and the tension may have been greater than ever. However, the tension was raised by the fans and their politics. Before the puck dropped at Bell Centre Saturday, Canadian fans booed the playing of the "Star-Spangled Banner" for the second time in as many games involving the U.S. in the tournament.
President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford) turns into a scarlet-skinned rage monster in “Captain America: Brave New World,” just one of many problems Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), the new Captain America, faces in the latest Marvel adventure. Ross and other world leaders are close to signing an important treaty surrounding the discovery of Adamantium, a valuable element mined from the remnants of a Celestial half stuck in the Indian Ocean (see: “Eternals”). Global peace is thrown into disarray at a White House summit when Sam’s close friend Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) and other Secret Service members and soldiers are mind-controlled into trying to assassinate the president.

Marlee Matlin is the youngest woman to ever receive the Oscar for best actress. The Illinois native, who is now 59 years old, won the award in 1987 for her role as Sarah Norman in the 1986 romantic drama, "Children of a Lesser God." She has maintained the record for 38 years.
Photos captured the impact of the atmospheric river that triggered mudslides and significant floods in Southern California this week. Evacuation warnings were issued for vulnerable locations, including parts of the Los Angeles area hit by deadly wildfires last month. The storm caused mud-covered roads, local school closures and fallen power lines.
Some white South Africans showed support for President Donald Trump on Saturday and gathered at the US Embassy in Pretoria to claim they are victims of racism by their own government. Hundreds of protesters held placards that read “Thank God for President Trump” and displayed other messages criticizing what they see as racist laws instituted by the South African government that discriminate against the white minority.
ADELAIDE, South Australia – Sam Horsfield wasn't sure of the last time his Majesticks GC produced a top-3 podium finish. Told that it was LIV Golf Boston in 2022, he replied, "Yeah, my memory doesn't go back that far." Since then, 33 LIV Golf tournaments have been played, but now the Majesticks are one round away from ending their record drought
The coveted Oscar for best actor marks a peak achievement in a movie star's career. But the honor can come sooner for some stars than for others. Adrien Brody, 51, is the only actor under 30 to have won the Academy Award in the actor in leading role category, a record he's maintained for over 20 years. The New York native won back in 2003 for his role as Polish pianist and Holocaust survivor Władysław Szpilman in Roman Polanski's 2002 war film "The Pianist."
