'American Pickers' star Frank Fritz's father contests son's will

Feb. 24, 2025

Nearly five months after the death of "American Pickers" star Frank Fritz, his biological father is contesting his will. William Fritz, who lives in Texas, filed a petition earlier this month to set aside son Frank Fritz's last testament and have a jury determine what should be done with his son's estate. The probate case, including the will, has been sealed by an Iowa judge, meaning details of Fritz's assets haven't been made public. But some estimates value his estate at nearly $6 million. Frank Fritz of American Pickers attends the A+E Networks 2012 Upfront at Lincoln Center on May 9, 2012, in New York City. Defendants in the case, some of Fritz's closest companions and caretakers, have retained lawyers "to protect his last wishes," a close friend to Frank told the Des Moines Register.

Florence Pugh stuns at London Fashion Week in gothic sheer dress: See the photo

Feb. 24, 2025

High-top sneakers, baggy jeans, a fitted cap — everyone has their fashion favorites. And for Florence Pugh, sheer is her faithful go-to. The British actress stole the show at London Fashion Week on Thursday in an all-black gauzy frock, which she wore to the opening of Harris Reed's autumn/winter show. Pugh, who walked the runway for the British American designer's eponymous label, rocked the gothic look, which amounted to the high fashion equivalent of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. The dress's tight-fitting, sheer base was overlaid by a tastefully gaudy bodice and a chic hood that framed Pugh's face.

Kim Kardashian sued for posting photo of wrong man while advocating for death row inmate

Feb. 24, 2025

Kim Kardashian is being sued over an Instagram mix-up. The case, filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, hinges on a February 2024 Instagram Story post in which the criminal justice reform advocate — attempting to raise awareness about Ivan Cantu, a Texas man on death row — posted a photo of the wrong person. While there was an Ivan Cantu awaiting execution in Texas, the photo used by Kardashian in her post was actually of another Ivan Cantu, who lives in New York. Pointing out that at the time Kardashian had over 350 million followers on the platform (she now has 357 million), the suit alleges Cantu suffered severe emotional distress and embarrassment.

Jessica Williams jokingly calls out Harrison Ford in viral SAG Awards intro moment

Feb. 24, 2025

There's a right and wrong time to eat during an awards show, as Harrison Ford just learned the hard way. Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony began, as usual, with celebrities giving testimonials to the camera about their acting career. During this "I Am an Actor" segment, Jessica Williams spoke from a table where she was seated with her "Shrinking" co-stars, including Ford, who was directly behind her. But Ford may not have realized he would be in the frame for Williams' remarks, as he could be seen eating behind her as she spoke. The audience laughed as Ford stopped himself from taking a bite of food after he seemed to notice himself in the shot.

Roberta Flack, Grammy-winning singer of hit 'Killing Me Softly,' dies at 88

Feb. 24, 2025

Between her smoky voice and cooing ballads, Roberta Flack distinguished herself as a soulful standout. The singer died Monday. She was 88. A statement from her representative noted that Flack "died peacefully, surrounded by her family." Flack's manager, Suzanne Koga, said in an appreciation of the multi-genre star, "If Roberta Flack was unlike singers who came before her, there were many who would emulate her in her wake. In fact, her influence has never stopped reverberating. She was a woman who sang in a measured voice, but her measurements moved times and events as much as they moved hearts." No cause of death was provided for Flack, a staple on the R&B and adult contemporary charts throughout the '70s and '80s. But in November 2022, the singer announced that she suffered from ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, which prevented her from singing and made even speaking difficult. She retired from singing professionally until her death.

Of course, the clip is set to Beyoncé's 2024 song featuring Post Malone, "Levii's Jeans" from her eight studio album "Cowboy Carter."
