'Anora' wins three Spirit Awards, including best film, and eyes Oscar success
The past year has been "great for film, and a bad year for human life," host Aidy Bryant said to kick off the 40th Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday. The awards show for movies made for less than $30 million is a famously laid-back affair ("White Lotus" star Walton Goggins rocked a sleeveless shirt, Demi Moore brought her Chihuahua named Pilaf) held in a giant tent off the Santa Monica Beach. But many of Saturday's nominees are also vying for Oscar gold. With a little more than a week until the Academy Awards on March 2, the Indie Spirits honored writer and director Sean Baker's "Anora" with three major awards, including best feature, best director and best lead performance for star Mikey Madison.

"1923" is coming back to the small screen for its second season, starring Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar and Julia Schlaepfer. The "Yellowstone" prequel shows the Dutton family's attempt to settle west during Prohibition and the Great Depression. The second season focuses on the "harsh" winter with the Duttons trying to defend their ranch in Montana. Ahead of the season premiere, Ford spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the importance of making television the "old-fashioned" way.

The Screen Actors Guild could have finally given us clear frontrunners in a wild Oscar season. Instead the thespians choose chaos. Papal thriller "Conclave" won best ensemble Sunday at the 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards, beating "Anora" and derailing its best picture momentum after directors' and producers' guild wins. Being that the actors are the largest voting body for the Academy Awards, "Conclave" could have a bit of an edge now for the top prize going into next Sunday's 97th Oscars ceremony. Timothée Chalamet ("A Complete Unknown") and Demi Moore ("The Substance") also picked up key best actor and actress wins at SAG – Chalamet's victory over "The Brutalist" star Adrien Brody was something of an upset. The supporting actor categories went as expected, though, with Zoe Saldaña winning for "Emilia Pérez" and Kieran Culkin for "A Real Pain."
Prince Andrew is reportedly desperate to save his costly palatial Royal Lodge – even if it means trying to find work. The claim was made by British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard, who said the disgraced Duke of York is "clinging on to Royal Lodge for dear life" as he struggles to secure enough money to maintain the royal property. Fox News Digital reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will release parts of Prince Harry’s immigration records with some redaction, in the ongoing lawsuit over the royal's move to the United States. The move comes after federal Judge Carl Nichols ordered the agency to provide the court with a redacted version of Harry’s file for review with the ultimate goal of making the records public, according to a New York Post report Friday. At issue is whether the British royal lied on immigration documents or was given preferential treatment when he moved to the U.S. in 2020, with Harry later revealing in his memoir "Spare," which was released in 2023, that he had used illegal drugs.
