The "You Can Call Me Al" hitmaker took to social media Tuesday to announce his Quiet Celebration Tour, slated to be held in mid-sized venues across America in 2025. The surprise news for fans comes as Simon is fresh off a duet with pop star Sabrina Carpenter on the "SNL50" anniversary special Sunday. Simon, who retired from touring in 2018, released his most recent album, the acoustic "Seven Psalms," in 2023.

Marshall Rose, Candice Bergen's husband of more than 20 years, has died after a battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 88. The news was confirmed in a New York Times obituary, which said Rose died "peacefully at home" on Saturday from Parkinson's complications after "many years of extraordinary strength and resilience." A representative for Bergen confirmed Rose's death in an email to USA TODAY on Tuesday.

Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan is heading to 'Boston Blue' in CBS 'Blue Bloods' spinoff

Donnie Wahlberg is expanding the "Blue Bloods" universe, but he's moving TV detective jobs from New York City to his Boston hometown. Wahlberg, who played New York Police Department detective Danny Reagan on "Blue Bloods" for 14 seasons, will star in the new drama series "Boston Blue," CBS announced. Wahlberg, 55, will reprise his role while taking a position with the Boston Police Department, where he will be paired with Det. Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family, according to CBS. No casting information on Peters was disclosed by CBS, which said the first "Blue Bloods" spinoff series will arrive this fall.
