New FBI Director Kash Patel has a willing participant, UFC fighter Justin Gaethje, to help improve agents' fitness. In a teleconference with the FBI’s 55 field offices on Wednesday, Patel said he wants the FBI and UFC to form a relationship that would lead to programs to enhance fitness among the agents, ABC News reported. UFC fighter Justin Gaethje is down to help Patel achieve that goal.

While it has been faint, playful sports banter in the past, things took a serious turn last month amid political tensions between the two countries. It began at an Ottawa Senators game on Feb. 1, when the fans booed the "Star-Spangled Banner" upon the Minnesota Wild's visit. The next day, Toronto Raptors fans booed the anthem when the Los Angeles Clippers came to town.

Washington Capitals to honor DCA plane crash victims with helmet decal

Saturday marks one month to the day that 67 people were killed after a commercial plane collided with a helicopter while landing at the DCA airport in Washington, D.C. Among those were members of the figure skating community, coming back from a tournament in Kansas. During their home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Washington Capitals will honor the victims with a decal on their helmets; Tampa Bay players, too, will wear them.

James asked reporters after the Los Angeles Lakers win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. "That responsibility — it’s just weird. It’s weird energy from the people that … I don’t know." Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards recently said he does not want to be the next face of the NBA and just wants to focus on basketball.
